A few words for opening
ROLOUS is a group of fine artists from Roudnice nad Labem, Lovosice and Ústí nad Labem.
Five fine artists - Lenka Zemanová, Dagmar Bobrzyková, Eva Horáčková, Lubomír Čmejla and Petr Růžička, who are connected both by friendship and a shared interest in fine art, formed the independent fine art group ROLOUS in 1997. Later, they were joined by Jiří Vilímek (frequent guest at sculpture symposiums organized by the Group).
The founding of the group was preceded by activities in several different groups and by many exhibitions not only in the Czech Republic but also abroad. The first exhibitions of that period date back to 1987 and continue to today.
Exhibitions of paintings and sculptures are not their only activity. The Group organizes its own sculpture symposiums and other events. The Group members are graduates of The Folk Conservatory of Northern Bohemia in Ústí nad Labem, organized by Cultural Centre Albis under the leadership of Pavel Bergr, academic painter.
The members create in several areas and depict and picture their vision of the world and life around in various shapes and using different means - from classic techniques to non-traditional.
